Zoom (Video Call) Meeting

Schedule a video appointment to speak with a planner online via Zoom. An online meeting is best for questions that may involve reviewing project plans or documents. You will have the ability to ask any questions, and the planner will be able to assist you. The zoom meeting information will be included in your appointment confirmation.

When booking your appointment, please be sure to provide the project address and a description of what information you are requesting to obtain. This will allow the planner to do any preliminary research regarding your request prior to the meeting.

Phone Call (On the number you provide)

Schedule a telephone call with a planner to discuss any planning questions. A phone appointment is best for questions that may not involve review of project plans or documents. Once the appointment is scheduled, a staff member will call you on the number you provide in your appointment.

When booking your appointment, please be sure to provide the project address and a description of what information you are requesting to obtain. This will allow the planner to do any preliminary research regarding your request prior to the meeting.

In-Person Appointment (22 Orinda Way)

Schedule an in-person appointment to speak with a planner at the Planning Counter at City Hall (22 Orinda Way). You will have the ability to ask any questions, and the planner will be able to assist you. If you are seeking to have your project plans reviewed and approved during the appointment, please select In-Person Plan Check, not an In-Person Appointment.

When booking your appointment, please be sure to provide the project address and a description of what information you are requesting to obtain. This will allow the planner to do any preliminary research regarding your request prior to the meeting.

In-Person Plan Check (22 Orinda Way)

The Planning Department offers in-person, over-the-counter building permit plan check. Applicants will be able to have their plans reviewed and approved over-the-counter during their scheduled appointment. Note that certain projects are exempt from Planning Review. Visit the City's webpage "Building Permits" for more information.

An appointment for in-person plan check is required and plan check drop-ins are not allowed. Do not submit your application online if you have made an appointment for in-person plan check. Applicants will need to print a completed application form and one full-sized plan set for their appointment.
